Service Requests and ID Card Requests
The Golden Rule Building is now using Workspeed to process service requests and ID card requests. Only those who have been given a Workspeed login have the ability to submit service requests and ID card requests. To access Workspeed, click https://secure.workspeed.com. Tenants without a Workspeed login will need to speak with their supervisor and/or facility manager to submit a service request. Users can be added to a tenant account by the Primary User for each tenant. If a Primary User needs to be added, please contact Building Management.Emergency Service Requests
Requests requiring immediate action (such as leaks, ice, or something that could be deemed as potentially dangerous) should be called into Building Management immediately. Please call (651) 290-8890 if these requests should arise and follow up by submitting a work request.Building Rules
The following rules and reminders have been established to provide a safe and well-maintained business environment for all tenants of The Golden Rule Building. These rules are not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified at management’s discretion. Your cooperation in these matters is greatly valued and appreciated.
- The building management reserves the right to require proper identification of any person in the Building and is not responsible for theft, loss or damage of any property.
- Notify building management immediately in case of unauthorized or suspicious person(s), theft, accident or building defect.
- Canvassing, soliciting and peddling in the Building are prohibited. Please report any such activity to building management.
- Please refrain from obstructing entrances, staircases, ramps and elevators.
- No weapons of any kind are permitted in the Building.
- No hazardous materials shall be brought into the Building without the written permission of building management.
- Freight and other large objects should be transported in the freight elevator only. Please avoid using the passenger elevators for any such use.
- Bicycles, eBikes and eBike batteries are not allowed in tenant spaces or common area spaces. Bike racks are available in various locations around the perimeter of the building. Indoor Bike storage is available on the first floor near the Seventh Street entrance, please contact building management if you wish to rent a storage space.
- No animals or birds shall be brought into the Building, except service animals with proper certification.
- The Golden Rule Building is a smoke free building, this includes e-cigarettes. All building personnel are required to smoke two feet away from any public entrance and preferably at the back entrance of the Building.
Tenant Rules
The following rules and reminders have been established to provide a safe and well-maintained business environment for all tenants of The Golden Rule Building. These rules are not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified at management’s discretion. Your cooperation in these matters is greatly valued and appreciated.
- Most doors require card access. Do not allow others to "tailgate" through secured doors. No propping of secured doors is permitted.
- No plants or other items may be hung from the ceiling.
- Picture hanging needs to be approved by tenant and building management.
- Coffee pots are allowed in lunchrooms only and must be connected to shut-off timers.
- No space heaters are allowed. (Please submit a work request if you are too cold.)
- Small personal fans mounted on office furniture are permitted. No floor mounted or free-standing fans of any kind are allowed.
- Refrigerators are allowed in lunchrooms only.
- No cooking is allowed in the Building, with the exception of microwave heating in designated lunchrooms. Items being heated in microwaves must not be left unattended. Microwave popcorn is prohibited throughout the Building.
- All signage must be approved by building management and only hung using blue painters’ tape. No signage, lettering or other objects should be placed in the windows.
The Golden Rule Bike Parking and Storage
Biking is a healthy, money-saving lifestyle. So for all you avid bicyclists at The Golden Rule Building, we offer secured bike parking and storage lockers at $120 for April thorugh March term. This can be pro-rated based on your start date. In addition, we have on-site shower facilities.

Emergency Information
The building management company, Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., is available 24 hours a day to assist fire and police department personnel. A coordinated effort of building management, emergency response teams, occupants, police department, and fire department personnel is required to ensure the safety of the building occupants. It is the responsibility of each individual to become more familiar with the established emergency procedures, building floor plans, and the location of emergency exits, fire alarm pull boxes, fire extinguishers, etc.
Emergency Call Procedure
At all times call 911 first, then call Building Security at (651) 308-3172, so that we can respond accordingly. Please call the Management Office at (651) 290-8890 in the event that Building Security is not available.
